First Aid Training
Being trained in first aid is essential for all people in all professions!
Whether you are required to attain the certification for employment purposes or simply want to feel confident in administering first aid practices if/when the time comes, this is the course you need to complete.
First Aid is an important part of everyday life at home, work or at play. Everyone should learn first aid for in the case that a situation arises, you can administer basic care until emergency services arrive.
Who needs their First Aid qualification?
First aid is necessary within many industries, including:
- Police Officers
- Fire Brigade Officers
- Ambulance Officers
- Airline employees
- Swimming Instructors
- Child Care workers
- Workplace construction employees
- Nurses/doctors/ all hospital staff
Whilst in other areas and industries, first aid may not be necessary it is certainly valued as with all workplaces, injuries and accidents do occur!
How long does this course go for?
Here at ATS, we hold our First Aid courses for 6 hours; this does not include the online pre-course work that must be completed prior to the training day.
All students are required to complete pre-course work before attending their nominated one-day practical session. Once you have booked in your First Aid course, you will receive a confirmation email with a username & password to access the participant manual & workbook.

Upon the successful completion of this First Aid course, participants receive a Statement of Attainment from ATS. ATS will also issue a wallet size record of training for the student’s convenience.
The training is valid for 3 years, to be renewed on a continuous basis. The First Aid training also includes CPR. The CPR component is to be renewed on an annual basis and this specific training is also available at ATS as a separate short course.
Not every incident requiring first aid is a life-and-death situation. First Aid knowledge is commonly used to manage minor injuries at home or work, so get qualified, get confident and stay safe!
